  • Blogging is not about copying: If you feel that blogging is all about getting written matter from different websites, merging them and posting on your blog isn’t blogging ! You need to create your own content while you blog. It may be anything, a new place you visited, solution to a problem or even that new laptop you bought. Netizens are looking for original content and providing them with first hand experiences is the best way to get people to read your blog often.

  • Start blogging by sticking to one topic that you think you are best at. You may be a good artist and would have some great tricks up your sleeves. So go ahead and show your skills, write a nice post which would work as a reference for many others who would want to try this thing. You may be a great programmer, post your codes/solutions to a tricky problem and you shall have loyal followers.

  • Blogging requires time and dedication. Blogging is not about simply writing a post in a jiffy. Writing a blog post takes a good amount of time and research because you don’t want to be giving away wrong information from your blog. So before posting anything make sure that everything that is written on the blog is correct. Spend sometime before posting something.

  • Blogging is a way to give back to the internet. These are the exact lines one of my teachers told and that is the reason I’m doing this now. He had told that everyone is browsing the internet to find something for free, be it free movies, games or anything. People tend to take everything for free from the internet but have they ever thought to give something back to the internet ? Well writing a blog is the perfect way to pay back. By writing a blog you are generating content which might be of use to someone, somewhere.

So, I hope that these basic points will help you get your blog online and assist you in becoming a successful, fantastico blogger in the time to come. If you already have a blog, do post your views on blogging in the comments below, would be glad to connect !
