Review of Deli 9 Patisserie, Hyderabad

Because we know that a lot can happen over a cup of coffee, we are now seeing a rise in number of cafes. From the all time favorites like Puff / Patties and Burgers to the nouvelle Nachos and Croissants. The taste has changed and people do prefer something nice with their cup of coffee. Moreover, cafes are that perfect place for catching up with friends, thanks to the great ambiance. So without wasting much time, I’ll pen down my review of Deli 9 in Hyderabad. Now there are a handful of outlets of Deli 9, but I’ll be talking about the one in Begumpet (inside the Lifestyle building)

The Ambiance

As said earlier, the ambiance in cafes have improved vastly. Not only cozy chairs, but the entire cafe has been revamped. Deli 9 is no different. The cafe isn’t too big does seem a bit congested if you aren’t seated close to the window. Just like any other place, Deli 9 too has some quirky stuff written on the walls and their menu too is different (Pao and Bao is one of the sections in the menu[Must Read: Ohri’s Jiva Imperia Review]

Review of Food at Deli 9

I was there not for eating something but actually taking a cake. The menu however looked nice, the prices kind of seemed a little on the higher side. It was nice that they had a couple of cakes ready that day. These included the evergreen Chocolate Truffle, Salted Caramel and one more. Both 1/2kg and 1kkg variants were available. I opted for the Chocolate Truffle (tried and tested :P) Since it was for a birthday, I wanted something to be written on it. But that actually made the cake look bad 🙁 I feel I shouldn’t have got anything written as it spoiled the look of the cake. Nevertheless, the taste was simply superb. Trust me it was one of the best cakes I had eaten in the recent times.

Getting something written on the cake - not a good idea.

Verdict: Deli 9 deserves a visit

Keeping the slow service at bay, Deli 9 deserves a visit at least once. Since I haven’t tried their food, I cannot say much about it. However, as far as the cakes are concerned, those were delicious. If you are celebrating a birthday and are looking for a cake, Deli 9 shouldn’t disappoint you. And since there are many outlets of this, I’m sure you’ll find one when you need it the most !
