Places To Explore During Cruise

It will be a wonderful and amazing experience for you to end the day with a picturesque boat cruise on lake Pichola. Watch the lake gleaming during a beautiful sunset as you pass Udaipur’s illuminated skyline dotted with mansions. Applaud stately palaces on the lake’s islands and learn more about Udaipur’s culture and history from your knowledgeable guide.

Along the way of your cruise travel, you will see ancient landmarks dotted along the shore such as the City Palace Complex and the most attractive ghats. Pass the Havelis (mansions) of nobles, the most prominent being the Bagore Ki Haveli. On the far end of this structure, the Gangaur Ghat with its triple-arched Tripolia Gate stands as a magnificent piece of architecture.

The most beautiful sights you’ll see are the small structures and magnificent palaces on Lake Pichola’s islands. After that, you will be passed by the Mohan Mandir, a delightful perching place for waterbirds that was built by Rana Jagat Singh II in honour of Lord Krishna. See Arsi Vilas, an 18th-century structure built by Rana Ari Singh II; the 17th-century Jagmandir Island Palace, once a place of refuge to Prince Khurram (later Emperor Shahjahan); and Jag Niwas, now the Lake Palace Hotel. You’ll also catch a thrilling view of the distant Sajjangarh palace perched on the hills.

City Palace

City Palace is one of the renowned places in Udaipur. The City Palace – the most famous and romanticized tourist attraction – for families is located at the shore of Lake Pichola. The palace’s architecture is illustrious and it shows the skills and might of the Rajputana kingdom. The sight of palace is well known for its wealthy heritage and is a reference point for many buildings even today. On day first this is one of Udaipur’s finest locations to tour. The entry fee charged is INR 50.

Lake palace

Lake Palace was once regarded as the Jag Niwas Lake Palace, one of the world’s most beautiful and magnificent restaurants. It is one of Udaipur’s main tourist sights and should not be missed. The Palace Lake is located on the famous Pichola lake. The best time to visit the lake palace is in the evening. You will experience the beauty at its utmost level in the evening. Monsoon palace

This palace architecture was previously regarded as the Sajjangarh Palace. It was constructed by the Mewar Dynasty Maharana Sajjan Singh in 1884. The fort was constructed overlooking Fateh Sagar Lake. The palace gives a wonderful view of the city, especially during the monsoon when everything is just green. It’s also a scenic spot to view sunsets on clear days.

Cruising your way in Udaipur

Visiting the city of lakes in India and not exploring Udaipur by boat is unthinkable. With the beautiful and serene lakes and magnificent mansions, one should not miss out on this opportunity. I’ve been to Udaipur many years ago and still remember the boat ride at Pichola Lake.

One of the best things about Udaipur is its connectivity. You can reach Udaipur by Air, by rail and by road from most of the cities in India. If you are on a slightly longer Rajasthan sojourn, then spend some time in Jaipur followed by a trip to Udaipur. That’s about it from me on Udaipur. Have you been there already? How was your trip?
