India back to winning ways !

Yaay !! It’s after ages that the Indian team is back to winning ways. (Some might ask that didn’t they recently win against Pakistan ? Well, they did, but that win didn’t have that winning waala feeling ! Today’s match was too good !)

First of all Was it a CSK vs England match or India vs England ??ย All of the CSK players were in form and actually helped India win the match today. It was a day ofย Dhoni, Jadeja, Raina.ย Moreover it was a Jadeja show at Kochi. (It had to be, it is his home ground.ย Rememberย Kochi Tuskers ? :P)ย He played exceptionally well, was great with the bat and was even better with the ball. Wonder if we need Ashwin anymore in the team. (the part-timers are doing a better job !)

Nevertheless, felt very good to see the Indians play well as a complete unit. This has happened rarely in the past when both, the batting and bowling clicked. Most of the time we lost even after scoring 300+ or we lost after being bowled out for <100 ! (Just as I am writing this, Samit Patel has smacked Ashwin for 2 sixes and a four !! Once again: Do we need Ashwin ??)

Another thing to point out in this match is the counting skills of the umpires. I mean is it so difficult to count 6 balls ? And they can’t blame the crowd for this because there is no relation between counting and hearing !! Guess, the umpiresย would have beenย penalized if Dhoni was punished for slow over rate because it was them who weren’t able to count the balls !!

Overall a great great come back by the Indian side to level the series 1-1. The next game will be a crucial one for both the teams. England have some homework to do before the next game.

Bonne chance !! (reminder J’aime le Francais !)
