“Le baron liqueur”ย or the Liquor Baron, Mr. Mallya recently celebrated his birthday. His birthday was a low key affair and not so King size type.
With Kingfisher Airlines debt ridden, people might have thought that the King of Good Times would infuse some huge amounts of cash in the debt ridden airlines, but he was quoted saying ย “I won’t sell family silverware..”
During his birthday, he visited the famous Meenakshi temple at Madurai and to my surprise (everyone’s surprise), he has made a donation of 3 Kilograms of Gold !! Yes you read it right, its 3 Kgs of Gold !! (Current Gold price is around 32,000 for 10 gms so that’s like 10,000,000).
Well it’s indeed a niceย gesture, nothing wrong in it. Maybe it’s the Almighty only who can save “Le roi des bon temps”ย aka The King of Good Times (You might wonder, why so much of French, its just because I love French !! ;))
Let’s hope that the Almighty helps him and his airlines be the King of Good Times and rule the Indian skies again…!!
