Rainy Day

Most of you reading this post would have some point in your life either wrote an essay on a rainy day or made a drawing on it. It has been raining cats and dogs in Delhi NCR since last night. There was a lot of thunder and lightening, it was almost like a day of peak rainy season !

Today, the Sun was hardly visible. Cool and fast winds were blowing all day. (Even as I am writing this, trees are swaying) It has been dark all day and has been drizzling non-stop since last night. Even though I was busy with my assignments, the day certainly reminded me of the drawings I made in my school days on a rainy day. I remember, Rainy Day was a  default topic  for an essay or a painting competition.

typical rainy day painting would include kids playing in rain, people using umbrellas and wearing raincoats. A lightening flash was a must in such drawings. The sky was always painted black or dark grey. And how could we miss the paper boats ! As a kid, I always felt that the painting is incomplete without the lightening flash and the paper boat 🙂

Those days were fun. But the weather here is not at all funny. Forecast predicts more rain and thunderstorm tonight. And looking at the weather outside it certainly seems that storm is around the corner !

So, in this romantic and cool weather, I am heading to the kitchen to make some hot pakodas and sip some hot coffee (I know that pakodas go with chai, but I’m a Coffee lover)
