The above sayingย WILLย be true for many of you, hence thought to start with a universal fact ! As it is said, exams are always around the corner when s most awaited cricket series is to begin and no one will know this better than me. Well, exams from Tuesday and the match starts tomorrow ! Wonder how will I study on the weekend ! (Some folks might be HAPPY that they can study in the weekend and score high while I’ll be busy watching the match ! ๐ )
Jokes apart, this is certainly the MOST AWAITED TEST SERIES. Some of the finest batsmen, great run machines take on the young, spin wizards. I won’t say that this series is hyped by the “Asli Test abhi baaki hai”ย ads, they truly justify this.
Australian batsmen have beenin some great form in the recent past with the like of Shane Watson, Michale Clarke and Mathew Wade.ย Not to forget their bowling attack, fast bowling particularly. They might not have the big names in the spin department, but these guys can certainly turn the ball.ย Nathan Lyonย has made some news this time around, hoping to perform well and unleash some new weapons against the Indians.
Indians on the other hand will seeย the likes ofย Virender Sehwagย andย Sachin Tendulkarย play after a brief lay off. Sachin certainly is in some sublime form after a great performance in the Ranji Trophy. Viru who is back after being dropped, certainly has some serious work to do to cement his place in the side. The middle order can once again prove to be ineffectiveย IFย Kolhi, Pujara fail. Pujara will be playing his first match after marriage so let’s see how he fairs ! Bowling is certainly weak, but with Harbhajan Singh, Bhuvaneshvar Kumar I feel some damage could be done early on.
Like always I’ll predict the playing XI :ย Dhoni, Viru, Kohli, Sachin, Pujara, Ashwin, Bhajji, Ojha, Kumar, Ishant, Vijay.ย I don’t want to see Dinda in the side as always, but I get a feeling we might see him tomorrow !
