Google Inc is a dream company for many of the budding engineers like me or it won’t be wrong to say, everyone wants to get a taste of Google. However last night in a blog post, the founder Larry Page apparently made a startling revelation – Google is now owned by another company.
Yes, you read it right, Google Inc will now by owned by the parent company Alphabet. But not much to worry as this parent company is owned by Larry himself. Basically Google Inc now will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. The reason for doing so ? Well Google has had a lot of parallel business, this move will surely help the company focus on each business efficiently. Another update is that Sundarย Pichai will be heading Google as the CEO. Further as per the blog all the shares of Google will be ‘renamed’ to Alphabet how ever the trading names on NASDAQ will remain Goog Googl.
