Best Veg Haleem In Hyderabad – Maharaj Recommended

It’s the holy month of Ramzan and Hyderabad is all decked up with stores coming to light places coming to life and Haleem and biryani taking the spotlight. Every year around this time I see a lot of searches around the best veg Haleem in Hyderabad. A blog post that I wrote earlier saw a lot of hits and visits. I realise that I haven’t updated that blog post for almost 5 to 6 years now, and hence this blog post.

I have one of my favourite places which I highly recommend for the best veg Haleem in the city. So in this blog post, I will talk about Aish, The Park which I believe provides the best veg Haleem in Hyderabad.

Does Veg Haleem exist?

I’m sure this would be the first question in all of your remains as to whether veg Haleem exists or not. Well, technically Haleem is a meat dish made predominantly from mutton or chicken, but practically there are vegetarian Haleem versions as well.

Most of the veg Haleem that you will have in the city are made from Dalia, Rava or even maybe jackfruit because all these give the meat texture which closely resembles the actual Haleem.

In my previous post about veg Haleem in Hyderabad, I wrote about the pathetic experience that I had trying veg Haleem at Pista House for the first time and I vowed to not eat veg Haleem again.

Best Veg Haleem – Aish, The Park

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I am a frequent visitor at Aish, The Park. The restaurant is known for its Hyderabadi cuisine which I love. I’ve been here a couple of times with my family as well and have always loved the food.

One of the things that I have whenever I am here is the veg Haleem. They call it Jackfruit Haleem as it is made from Jackfruit and it is one of the best Haleem in Hyderabad I have ever had. One of the things that I love about this Haleem is the texture it has.

Since it’s made with Jackfruit and with a generous amount of ghee. It gives it a texture that is very close to the actual Haleem. Plus the fried onions and the dinner lemon that is served with it along with the soft bread. I think that is just outstanding.

I have always been given a smaller serving to taste on request but I also make it a point to go there and order it. It’s slightly on the expensive side. I mean it cost about Rs 1200 a plate and I think that plate is well enough for about 5 to 6 people. So yeah if you are ever in the mood to try veg Haleem this one is worth trying.

Other Veg Haleem in Hyderabad

There are quite a few other places in Hyderabad that serve Veg Haleem including the likes of Pista House, Paradise and others. I tried it at Pista House and never liked it. So yeah, restaurants are serving it, but not up to the mark of what Aish serves.

Also, the best part about Aish is that this Haleem is served all around the year so whether it’s Ramzan or not, you can get to relish this delicious Veg Haleem in Hyderabad. So yes, that’s about it for this post. I hope that if you were here in search of the best veg Haleem in Hyderabad, I’ve answered your query.
