One of the first places that I went to on a road trip from Hyderabad was Bidar, that too on a Honda Activa! Ever since, I’ve been to Bidar a gazillion times. So much so that I know the roads, places and areas. It has been a destination that has beckoned me time and again, drawing me into its history, culture, and natural beauty. In fact, the Nanak Jhira Gurudwara is where I find solace and peace and there have been instances when I’ve driven just to spend time at peace in the Gurudwara. Apart from that the Bidar Fort, the 16 khamba mosque and the Astoor tombs are worth visiting.
However, when it comes to places to stay, most places were very basic. There aren’t many luxury resorts in Bidar. But things have changed over time with the advent of luxury resorts like Inspira by SRS Resort in Bidar, which adds a touch of luxury to this charming town. If you’re following @Atulmaharaj on Instagram, you already know that I was invited to stay at this property a few weeks back. This is going to be my review of Inspira by SRS Resort in Bidar.
And as always, though I was invited for a stay the experience shared in this post is authentic, genuine and unbiased.
Inspira by SRS Resort in Bidar – Luxury Amidst Simplicity
Clean And Green Setup
Nestled on the outskirts of Bidar, near the outer ring road, Inspira by SRS is a refreshing addition to this historic town. Despite its location, the resort offers easy access to important landmarks like the Gurudwara, Bidar Fort and the Astoor tombs and still is a quiet place as you approach the resort, a grand entrance greets you, complete with ample parking space.
The property, sprawled across a rectangular piece of land, is expansive, and you might have a bit of a walk ahead of you. However, worry not, as they provide buggy services to transport guests to their rooms. What strikes you immediately is the resort’s cleanliness, lush green surroundings, and meticulous upkeep. Finding such an exquisite place in a town like Bidar truly redefines the concept of luxury amid simplicity.
Luxurious Rooms
Inspira by SRS is a sprawling property with multiple cottages and the capacity to host more than 200 guests. During my stay, I was fortunate enough to have a room that overlooked a charming little garden, where trees danced gracefully in the gentle breeze. Just outside each cottage, there’s a small sitting area, the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the serene surroundings
Talking about the room itself, it is thoughtfully equipped with all the modern conveniences. From a sleek television to a small refrigerator, an air conditioner, and a handy kettle, every need is anticipated and catered to. The king-size bed is loaded with comfort, providing respite after a day of exploration. The bathroom is equally well-appointed, complete with a dependable supply of hot water. For those needing to catch up on work, a compact desk is provided.
My stay here was an absolute delight, with the plush furnishings and comprehensive amenities truly elevating the experience. After a refreshing hot shower following a day of adventure, I cherished every moment of restful sleep.
Amenities To Keep You Busy
At Inspira by SRS, a wide array of amenities awaits to enhance your stay. Begin your day on a refreshing note with a visit to the swimming pool, complete with an exciting rain dance setup. For the fitness-conscious, there’s a compact yet well-equipped gymnasium to jumpstart your mornings. There’s an indoor gaming room where you can engage in friendly matches of table tennis or carrom – I played TT. If you’re in the mood for outdoor activities, there’s a spacious lawn where you can indulge in a game of badminton or simply relax under the open sky.
As the sun sets, you have the option to unwind at the resort’s multiple restaurants, where delectable food, refreshing drinks, and live music create the perfect ambience. Dance enthusiasts can let loose and groove to the beats in the resort’s ballroom. For corporate guests seeking a memorable team outing, the resort even offers a well-equipped meeting room, making it an ideal choice for both relaxation and business.
Delicious Food Choices
Within the elegant confines of Inspira by SRS, you’ll discover not one, but two exceptional dining destinations. 14 Down Road, accompanied by a well-stocked bar, exudes a lively atmosphere, providing the perfect backdrop for a fulfilling meal. On the other hand, Riwaz offers a more relaxed ambience with its upscale interiors, making it an ideal spot to savour a delightful culinary experience.
During our stay, we savoured a variety of meals, including a couple of sumptuous lunches, a delightful dinner, and a satisfying breakfast. The presentation and flavours were nothing short of what you’d expect from a standalone restaurant. Notable highlights were the delectable Tandoori Broccoli and the flavorful Malai Chaap, which we wholeheartedly recommend. The rich curries and flavorful dals added a hearty touch to our meals.
For those looking to unwind, the well-equipped bar offers a diverse selection to cater to both cocktail enthusiasts and non-drinkers alike. Their breakfast buffets, featuring a delightful blend of continental and regional delicacies such as idli, dosa, poha, puri, and parathas, left a lasting impression. To sum it up, the culinary offerings left us thoroughly impressed with their unwavering commitment to culinary excellence.
Experience Bidar All Over Again
My stay at Inspira by SRS in Bidar was nothing short of a delightful escape from the ordinary. Nestled amidst the cultural richness of Bidar, this offers an experience that’s luxurious, memorable, and filled with warmth. The plush rooms, equipped with modern amenities, provided the perfect retreat after a day of exploration. The culinary journey at the resort’s two exceptional restaurants was a highlight, with each dish bursting with flavour and artfully presented.
While the mobile network coverage posed a minor challenge, this allowed us to truly disconnect and savour the tranquillity of the surroundings. For those without their own transportation, getting to the city centre may require some minor adjustments, but the serene atmosphere of the resort more than makes up for it.
All in all, Inspira by SRS offers the ideal weekend getaway, where you can revel in the lap of luxury while being enveloped by Bidar’s rich culture and history.
