Railways ka khana…

It’s been two days since I posted anything !! Thanks to the cold wave and fog thay delayed my train by almost 5 hours !!

Anyways, I always enjoy travelling by the chuk-chuk gaadi aka train. With spectacular scenes, and train
speeding through them, train journeys are always cherished by me.

As I said in previous posts, I’m a foodie. I don’t like my mother packing food for the journey, I prefer train/outside food.

People often don’t like the train food, but I’m few of the those who have the opposite thought.I was travelling by Shatabdi Express and I was sure that I would get cutlet for breakfast (trust me, it isn’t good at all !! Be it in Shatabdi or Rajdhani )

But, this time I asked the attendent for some south-indian Upma & Vada Sambhar. (Thought that these were meant only for south bound trains)
But to my surprise, I actually got them !

A vada with some upma, An extra tangy sambhar and chutney (pure coconut chutney) , two slices of brown bread, butter, jam and salt. Well, a good presentation and a good taste for train ka khaana.

I hope, such good food is always served and the journeys made more yummy….
