Dhamakedaar Saturday !

Most of you would know why the title – Dhamakedaar Saturday – but for those who aren’t aware, then let me take the opportunity to inform you that India will be taking on Pakistan in the Champions Trophy Match on Saturday, in short – Mother of All Cricket Matches awaits !!

Looking at the current form, India has been doing exceedingly well in all departments(excluding death bolwing) The opening woes of the team have been done away with some fantastic batting by Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. They have indeed filled the void left by Gauti and Viru. Because of this only, the Indians have got the opportunity to score big runs in the death overs. So batting doesn’t seem to be an issue.

On the bowling front Bhuvneshwar Kumar as made a strong mark. He has been bowling well consistently and has been rewarded for that. Ishant Sharma is bowling well but hasn’t succeeded in taking wickets. Umesh Yadav was taken for plenty in the last game. One of my friends on Twitter termed him as Umesh ‘Short’ Yadav (for the short balls he was bowling).

Sir Ravindra Jadeja has taken us by surprise. Sir is able to take wickets on the seam friendly pitches in England. And that too 5 wicket hauls. But we need to improve our death over bowling, we tend to leak lot of runs at the end. Best example was Darren Sammy last night.

But the focus in now on the India Pakistan match. One team is know for the best batting line up in world cricket while the other the most destructive bowling unit. So it will be a great thrilling match to watch out for. Pakistan having been knocked out will play for pride while India having qualified might make some changes.
