God bids adieu..

He has been called by various names likes Master Blaster, Tendia, and he has terrorized many bowlers in his lifetime by his destructive batting over the years. No one could have ever imagined that a young kid of a mere age of 16 would one day go on to re-name the Record Books. I am talking about none other than the Legend, God of Cricket, Master Blaster the one and only Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

God bids adieu..

There are no records left which Sachin hasn’t broken. The Most no.of ODIs, Most no.of Tests, Most no. of ODI Runs, Most no. of Test Runs, Most no, of Centuries… and the list continues. He has brought Cricket to a level which no one could have imagined. No one could forget the 2003 World Cup against Pakistan where he hit Shoaib Akhtar for a six over the 3rd man by his trade mark Uppar Cut.

I agree he has given Cricket what nobody else has. He has definitely justified his 24 year long stay in the arena. Be it the Uppar Cut, Paddle Sweep, Reverse Sweep or the flick, Sachin has mastered each and every shot that exists in the game. He is a true legend and possibly the Greatest Ambassador for the Game and India.

Some of his my memorable Sachin Moments are :

  • 2003 World Cup – Hitting speedster Shoaib Akhtar for a huge six over the 3rd man.
  • Gwalior – Becomes the first person to score a 200* in ODI cricket.
  • Hyderabad – Scoring 175 against Australia in the bilateral series.
  • Chennai – Partnership with Yuvraj Singh to see India home.

His retirement would have broken many hearts across the globes. It was left upto him to decide when he would retire and I guess his decision comes at the right time. Everyone would like to retire when they are at the peak form.

Thanks a lot Sachin for making us proud !
