Wrapping up the IPL 2017 Auction

So most of the prime suspects for the IPL 2017 went under the hammer as expected. Ben Stokes was supposed to rake in big Moolah which he did. Bowlers like Rabada got their due attention. Afghan players including the likes of Muhammad Nabi and the young Rashid Khan were surprise elements. Rashid going for 4 crore was unexpected, but I hope he stands by it. Few of the other uncapped Indian players like Aniket Chaudhary and T Natrajan did break the bank. Let’s hope they justify the price paid by their performance. Teams like RCB, DD and Pune went all out to the big names during the IPL 2017 auctions. While others like GL and SRH went hunting for smaller players who might make a big impact.

What’s your take on the teams for this season of the IPL 2017 ? Which team according to you is the strongest ? Which is the weakest ? Tell us everything in the comments below.

  1. Brilliant post, Atul! I was searching for a consolidated list that who bought who? and here I’m reading this complete and exhaustive post by you. Just a correction though, I guess, Rabada is with DD this year, not with RCB. Do check! 🙂
