Italian cuisine has always been a favourite of mine, so much so that I made it a point to immerse myself in its authentic flavours during my trip to Italy (PS: I’m yet to start my Europe blog posts). From fresh plates of pasta and pizzas to rich gelato, Italy left a lasting impression on my palate.
Back home in Hyderabad, one of the best spots to indulge in my love for Italian comfort food, especially Mac & Cheese, is Cravery Cafe. A few years ago, I visited their outlet in Film Nagar but never got around to sharing my thoughts on the blog.
However, more recently, I’ve found myself frequenting their new outlet Financial District, which is much closer to where I live. In this post, I’ll finally share my review of Cravery in Financial District and my experience working from there.
Location & Ambiance of Cravery Cafe
Cravery Cafe is conveniently located in the Financial District, close to Prestige Heights. The building houses several other popular outlets, including Arey, Asie, Van Lavino, and Mama Lola, making it a well-known spot for food lovers. Finding Cravery is easy, though the area is currently undergoing a lot of construction, so the surroundings are a bit dusty. However, once you step inside the cafe, you’ll find it to be clean, bright, and cool—a refreshing contrast to the outside.
Situated on the first floor, Cravery welcomes you with charming decor featuring plants, photos on the walls, and large glass windows that offer a view of the road on one side and a green patch on the other. The cafe offers multiple seating options, catering to both couples and families. For added fun, they even have board games available.
A unique feature here is the gadget on each table that allows you to call the waiter or ask for the bill—this aligns with their philosophy of not disturbing guests while they eat. Every time I’ve been here, I’ve found the seating to be comfortable, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
Food At Cravery Review
Starters and Coolers
My usual order includes Chilli Cheese Toast, Pulled Cheese Garlic Bread, and French Fries. The Chilli Cheese Toast at Cravery is simply one of the best I’ve had. It’s cheesy, tasty, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. It’s a dish I keep coming back to, and it never fails to satisfy me. The Pulled Cheese Garlic Bread is another crowd-pleaser.
If you’re looking to capture a good cheese pull video, this is the dish to order—just make sure to grab that shot as soon as it arrives! It’s no wonder this is one of the most popular items on their menu.
When it comes to drinks, my go-to is the Mandarin Cooler. It’s probably the best mocktail I’ve tried anywhere. Packed with large chunks of citrus fruits, soda, and ice, it’s incredibly refreshing and the perfect companion to a relaxing afternoon at the cafe.
I’ve also heard great things from friends who have tried their cold-pressed juices, which they absolutely loved. I usually spend a couple of hours at Cravery, and it’s not uncommon for me to order a second glass of the Mandarin Cooler—it’s that good!
Cheesy Mains
When it comes to mains at Cravery Cafe, their classic Mac and Cheese is a staple that they’re well-known for, and it’s easy to see why. The dish is perfectly creamy and gooey, offering the kind of comfort that only a good Mac and Cheese can provide. It’s definitely a solid choice if you’re in the mood for something traditional and satisfying.
However, my personal favourite, and one that I can’t recommend enough, is the Cheesy Broccoli Walnut Mac and Cheese. This dish is heavenly. The combination of creamy, cheesy goodness with the crunch of walnuts in every bite is simply delicious. The texture is rich and comforting, and the broccoli adds a nice touch of green that complements the dish perfectly.
But be warned—this is one filling meal! Once you dig into this, you might not need to order anything else, as it’s quite heavy and satisfying on its own.
Wrapping it Up
To wrap things up, my experiences at Cravery Cafe have been consistently positive, thanks to their impeccable service. Every visit has been marked by prompt, courteous, and warm interactions, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. While the pricing is on the higher side—likely reflecting the cafe’s prime location in the Financial District—it’s worth noting that for two or more people, it’s comparable to other spots in the area. For a solo visit, you might find it a bit expensive, but the quality of the food and the ambience justifies the cost.
Whether you’re stopping by for their incredible Chilli Cheese Toast, indulging in the Cheesy Broccoli Walnut Mac and Cheese, or simply relaxing with a refreshing Mandarin Cooler, Cravery Cafe offers a comfortable and delightful setting for both work and leisure. It’s a spot I keep returning to, and I’m sure many others feel the same.
