The enchanting, undulating terrain of this place is the reason this place is becoming a favorite of mountain lovers & trekkers. This is the kind of desert mountain that is in the higher ranges of the Himalayas. Another reason for visiting this place is Chandrataal Lake, which is one of the most charismatic lakes present in the Himalayan region.

Auli

This part of the Himalayas lies in the state of Uttarakhand state and is known as the skiing capital of the country. This is a small town that lies at an altitude of 3049m above sea level. The scenic vistas offered by Auli are comparable to none. One of the best ways to behold the beauty of this place is to take that 4 km cable ride (which by the way is the longest cable car ride in Asia). Other nearby attractions that you can visit is, Joshimath, Chenab Lake, and Gurso Bugyal.

Destinations outside India

Tibet

As soon as we hear Tibet, we think of monasteries; however, this country is so much more than just monasteries. This country has fresh grasslands, blissful landscapes, and very friendly people. Nepal

It goes unsaid that when you think of the Himalayas, you immediately travel back to Nepal. This is the best place to enjoy the vastness of the Himalayas and experience a memorable Himalayan adventure. There are monasteries, mountain peaks, lakes, and scenic beauty at this place. To get the right feel of Everest, you can travel to Kathmandu Valley; you can also go mountain biking around this valley. While you are there, do not forget to take a detour to Tamang Village and Sherpa.

Bhutan marks the end of the Himalayas (as per scriptures) but you can still bask upon the traditional richness of this country! Bhutan is known as the happiest country of Aisa and for keeping its environment clean. Once you visit this part of the world, you will know how people live happily without much modernization. Though visiting this country is a bit pricey but it is worth paying for the kind of freshness provided by this place!
