Tabula Rasa Hyderabad – Dine, Drink & Dance

Over the last few years, Hyderabad’s culinary landscape has undergone significant makeovers. The city is bustling with cafes, South Indian restaurants and party places. Once dominated by Jubilee and Banjara Hills, the city’s gastronomical centre of gravity is moving towards areas like the Financial District, Kokapet and the like. Eateries like Zero40, OneGolf have also setup their store in this area.

These areas are brimming with new eateries focusing on food, lively ambience and music. Among all the eateries in the area, the one that I’m going to talk about in this post is Tabula Rasa. With its first outlet in Jubilee Hills, Tabula Rasa in Financial District brings in the same vibes with food, drinks and music.

Inside Tabula Rasa

Located at the edge of the Financial District, Tabula Rasa stands out in the area. Drive a little further from Sheraton towards Amazon, Waverock and you’ll find it right there.

It’s known not just for the food but for the thoughtful design and vibrant atmosphere. There are large open spaces with plenty of natural light and plants. There are cute outdoor spaces as well which perfectly blend with the place. So whether you want to relish your food in broad daylight, among the trees or in the AC, Tabula Rasa has got you covered.

There’s also a massive bar counter that is there to quench your thirst. From beers and alcohol to mocktails and milkshakes. And how can such a place not have a music stage? The massive stage at the centre is the heart and soul. There are live performances that take place often, so you always have good music to accompany your food.

Lunch Break At Tabula Rasa – Review

Nestled among the bustling IT Hub, Tabula Rasa has become a hot favourite for IT employees from the vicinity. I was here on a Friday noon and as I stepped in, I saw multiple groups having their team lunches.  The vibes of the place surely give a break from the daily grind with some good food and drinks.

Talking about food, they have an a la carte menu along with a combo. I was here to try the combo which has some interesting options to choose from. Priced at Rs 750++, you can choose from one veg/non-veg starter, main course, rice/noodle, bread and a mocktail.

This will be served along with papad, salad, chutney and dal. I opted for the veg version along with a Watermelon Mojito. The Chilly Paneer was nice and so was the Kadhai Veg. The flavours were spot on, but just that it was a little spicy for me. Overall, loved this combo.

If you want to order from the a la carte, you can do so as well. We opted for a few of their signature vegetarian starters including Charcoal Dahi ke Kebab, Steamed Dumplings and Truffle Cheese Bombs. All of these were pretty flavourful but what stood out for me was the Dahi ke Kebab. It was subtle in flavours yet full of flavours. Lastly, if you’re a beer guzzler, you’ll surely enjoy their unlimited beer extravaganza that happens every day from 2 PM onwards.

Final Thoughts

Located conveniently in the Financial District with handy valet parking, Tabula Rasa stands out for its vast space and diverse menu, catering to all tastes.  The place accommodates the lunchtime and evening crowds, providing a variety of options for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. While service might slow when busy, the well-crafted combos and a rich selection of drinks at the bar make the wait worthwhile.

Lastly, it’s important to mention that my visit to Tabula Rasa was at their invitation, aimed at providing an honest overview of their menu and services. This review reflects my genuine opinion free from bias. Whether you’re planning a casual lunch or an evening out, Tabula Rasa promises an experience that’s worth exploring.
