24, July 2014 felt like yesterday when I stepped foot in Hyderabad. Fresh out of college, I came to the city for my first job at Wipro in Gachibowli. I remember spending a few months at a PG in Gachibowli and reliving the on-your-own life again after my boarding school stint. Fast forward to today, it’s been a decade since I’ve stayed in Hyderabad, the longest in any city for my entire family – so that’s a first.
Hyderabad has given me a lot of things, from my first job to a platform for Atulmaharaj the Food and Travel blogger to flourish. Over the years, I’ve explored Hyderabad like a local and I’m often a go-to person for food and travel recommendations for many when they are first time visiting Hyderabad.
With my Vegetarian’s Guide To Hyderabad already very popular, I decided to write my recommendations for everyone visiting Hyderabad for the first time in this post. The blog post will have three sections – places to eat, explore and shop – and most of these places are vetted by me.
Let’s dive into the best places for first-time visitors to indulge, discover, and shop!
What to Eat, Explore, and Shop on Your First Time Visiting Hyderabad
